History

Almost five decades of keeping aircraft components flying.

Atlas Aerospace has been an FAA Part 145 repair station since 1978. What follows is the short version — the longer version is told, day in and day out, by the components we return to service.
  1. 1978

    Atlas Aerospace founded

    Atlas Aerospace is established in Miami, Florida as an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station, committed from day one to meeting customer requirements with quality and speed.

  2. 1995

    Hollmann Guevara joins Atlas for the first time

    Hollmann Guevara begins his first chapter at Atlas.

  3. 2008

    Alfredo Aguayo joins Atlas for the first time

    Alfredo begins with the company as a Purchasing Manager and Sales leader.

  4. 2024

    Hollmann Guevara and Alfredo Aguayo rejoin the business

    Hollmann and Alfredo return to Atlas, with key emphasis on renewing customer relationships, building the team and expanding the offering. A time of reinvigoration for the business.

  5. 2024

    EASA recertification

    Atlas renews its European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval, reaffirming the repair station's standing with carriers and OEMs across Europe.

  6. 2026

    Atlas joins Aptus Aero

    The Stephens Group forms Aptus Aero — a new aviation MRO platform — appoints Dale Gabel as CEO, and Aptus Aero acquires Atlas Aerospace as its founding company. Atlas continues to operate as a standalone brand under the same General Managers and team in Miami.
